In late 2025, Meisida completed the installation of additional narrow-fabric ribbon looms, increasing our total weaving capacity by approximately 18%. The expansion was targeted specifically at wider-width production — ribbons in the 63mm to 100mm range — where demand from premium gift packaging buyers has grown consistently over the past two years.
What this means for buyers: programmes that previously required four to six weeks' lead time for wider-width wired edge and jacquard ribbon can now be accommodated in three to four weeks for repeat colours. We are currently reviewing the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification pathway for ribbon programmes using recycled polyester yarn.
